Competitive Advantage

Raw Materials

Raw Materials

The choice of materials in the manufacture of membranes is a very vital part of the design and development process. Over 3 decades, Theway has developed a resilient, capitalistic multinational supply chain to ensure very high standards of quality and conformance to desired specifications and standards while ensuring consistent commercial terms, which enable Theway to maintain phenomenally consistent and competitive levels of quality, performance and pricing for all our membranes.

When you buy a Theway Membrane, you can be proud of the fact that the raw materials in that membrane comes from over 10 countries in 4 continents, which form a part of a green supply chain, which cares for the environment.

Extrusion Technology

Extrusion Technology

Hollow fiber membrane extrusion is a combination of art and engineering, which requires very deep theoretical understanding of the chmeistry behind membranes and a very strong electrical-electronic-mechanical, instrumentatiknowledge to carefully control a wide set of extrusion parameters to arrive at the desired membrane specification while ensuring high levels of quality, consistence and uniformity in performance.

Over the last three decades, Theway has established multiple hollow fiber extrusion technologies, both from indigenous development and multinational collaborations which has enable Theway to be able to mass produce membrane fibers of a wide variety of desired specifications with being able to deliver fibers of different desired diameters, wall thicknesses, molecular weight cut offs (MWCO), porosity, pore size distribution, surface roughness, flow configuration, contact angle, hydrophilicity from a wide range of polymers including Polysulfone, Polyethersulfone, Polyvinylidene fluoride, Cellulose Acetate, Poly tetrafluoroethylene, Polyimide and other specialty chemicals for a wide range of applications and process conditions

Testing

Testing

Theway's membrane products are subject to very high expectations in terms of performance n a wide range of conditions. The success of Theway's widely installed and used membrane products lies in the level of attention given to testing across the production process.

Theway's testing protocols extensively cover the following areas

  • Raw Material Quality Tests

  • Testing Instrument Calibration

  • Extruded Membrane Tensile Strength Tests

  • Fiber Chemical Tolerance Tests

  • Hydrophilicity Tests

  • Bacterial and Viral rejection Tests

  • MWCO tests

  • Porosity and Pore Size Distribution Tests

  • Module Integrity tests

  • Flow and Permeability tests

  • Roundness and roughness tests

Above are few of the tests that are done on Theway's membrane modules. Many of the above tests are not random sample tests but are done for every membrane module. The comprehensiveness of these tests help us ensure defect delivery module shipments.
